Janet Evanovich's Stephanie Plumb Series

After listening to some of my fellow co-workers and many of my regular patrons go on about Janet Evanovich's numbered Stephanie Plumb series, I finally decided to try the first book for myself. Fourteen books later, I'm definitely hooked! I'll admit, none of the titles can really be considered a heavy read, but they're all a fun way to break from reality for a couple of hours. After you've read the first couple, you'll find that the storyline doesn't change much, but I can't help but think that one of these days Stephanie will finally make the choice between Morelli and Ranger. If you're looking for a quick, comical getaway, I'd definitely recommend the series.

True Blood-the books

If you are watching the HBO series, I hope you read the books. I am reading them and they are just different enough from the series. Books always rate better then the video version of any story. Partly that is because it is easier to fill in the back story and describe what the characters are feeling and thinking.Give the books a try, they are fun.
